Private party entertainment in Singapore works best as a short programme rather than one act. Guests arrive, settle in, wait for the main moment and then either dance or keep talking, and each stage of the night needs its own mood. We plan two or three acts across the evening, fit them to your space and your guests, and time them to the moments that matter to you.
Price: private party entertainment is quoted on the acts and the hours. As a guide, an acoustic performer or jazz trio plus a roving magician for a reception usually costs SGD 1,500 to 3,500. See what event entertainment costs in Singapore.
Parties we plan
Milestone birthdays, anniversaries, bachelor and bachelorette parties, holiday parties and smaller gatherings at home. The places vary just as much: private homes and villas, condominium pools and function rooms, rooftop terraces, restaurants and lounges, hotels, gardens and yachts. Each one changes what works.
A simple party programme
Arrival. An acoustic duo, a saxophonist with a DJ or a jazz trio plays music guests can talk over.
The high point. One feature act at the moment everyone is together: a dance show, a fire show on an outdoor terrace or beach, a magician who works the room table by table, or a belly dancer. Performances can be timed to the cake cutting, a speech or a surprise announcement, and the music and costumes can follow your theme.
The dance floor. A DJ, or a band that plays into the late part of the night.
For a small home gathering, one act may be enough. For 60 guests or more, a roving act plus a stage moment keeps every corner of the party busy.
Fit the act to the space
Small living rooms, condominium function rooms and yachts limit the floor space, the volume and sometimes the hours of amplified music. Rooftops and gardens need a plan for rain. Fire acts need open space, a permit and the venue's agreement. Before we confirm anything we ask about the floor area, the ceiling, the power points, the noise rules of the building and the time the music has to stop, so the act you book is the act that can perform.
Booking
Book at least two to four weeks ahead. For year end, Chinese New Year and the wedding season, book earlier, because many acts are already busy. Requests within 48 hours are sometimes possible, depending on who is free.
After your brief you get a shortlist with photos, videos and profiles of performers who are free on your date, and a price. You choose, pay a deposit to hold the date and agree the timing. On the night the acts arrive early, set up and perform to the running order.
Send the date, the place and the guest count through the quote form. Planning a wedding instead? See wedding entertainment.
